The work reflects a fictional dark, viscous and hypothetically empty and very cold space. In this fictional environment, an atmosphere of futility of deadly conflicts prevail. The coldness of a part of human existence shrouded in dark clouds covering the sun. It's like a scene from a science fiction movie, or from a dream that you wish didn't come true. The work was inspired reading literature about nuclear winter. Nuclear winter is a severe and prolonged global climatic cooling effect that is hypothesized to occur after widespread firestorms following a large-scale nuclear war. The hypothesis is based on the fact that such fires can inject soot into the stratosphere, where it can block some direct sunlight from reaching the surface of the Earth. This hypothesis faced the criticism of beeing dramatic and not well calculated, although consequences still are difficult to predict precisely.
