Composer's note

In this work, timbral changes are investigated with the help of bow pressure, dynamic changes and noise elements. One can imagine a writing process (with a bow) on different surfaces (strings). Musical textures and objects, which also appear in various forms in the duet piece, are exposed in solo context by juxtaposing contrasting articulations and dynamics. On the one hand, an element of recognisability is maintained, on the other, the musical material is constantly varied. Using an unusual tuning, various combinations of natural harmonics are obtained, and dense textures create a small scale effect, as if observing processes from a distance.
