Piano Phase Project, which consist of pianists Monika Lozinskienė ir Anna Szałucka is presenting transcription of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis symphonic poem In the Forest, arranged for piano four hands.

We sought to capture the essence of Čiurlionis’s orchestral work and transcribe it for piano in a way that remains true to the spirit of the original. At the same time, we’ve taken into consideration the musical challenges and opportunities that emerged during the transcription process. We’ve decided to compress certain parts whilst expanding the others, including two solo cadenzas and a virtuosic finish.
